RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC
WORKS TO SIGN AN APPLICATION FOR AN EXTENSION
OF PERMIT #5152 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
LOW WATER DAM ON THE BIG WICHITA RIVER
SECTION 11. 145, TEXAS WATER CODE)
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls previously was granted
Permit #5152 from the Texas Water Commission for construction of
a low water dam across the Big Wichita River; and,
WHEREAS, the permit for construction of the low water dam
was due to expire on November 2, 1989; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to file an
application for an extension of time to begin and/or complete
construction of the low water dam.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
George R. Bonnett, P.E. , Director of Public Works for the
City of Wichita Falls, is hereby authorized to sign the
application for an extension of time to begin and/or complete
construction of the low water dam under the provisions of Section
11. 145 of the Texas Water Code.
