RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH SOUTHWESTERN
TELECOM, INC. FOR MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE
OF THE CITY'S TELEPHONE SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the current contract for maintenance and service of
the City's telephone system expires November 30, 1989; and
WHEREAS, the City requested proposals for annual maintenance
and service of the system; and
WHEREAS, three proposals were submitted in response to the
RFP; and,
WHEREAS, Southwestern Telecom, Inc. submitted the most
responsive proposal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a
contract with Southwestern Telecom, Inc. for maintenance and
service of the City's telephone system for the period from
December 1, 1989 through November 30, 1990. The contract may be
extended at the City's option for three additional one-year
periods.
