Res 178-89 10/17/1989RESOLUTION NO. /rf-1717 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A STUDY AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS FOR THE PLUM CREEK FEASIBILITY STUDY WHEREAS, the United States Corps of Engineers has completed a reconnaissance study for the main branch of Plum Creek indicating a positive benefit to cost ratio for a proposed flood control project; and, WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desire to proceed into the next phase of the proposed work which is a section 205 feasibility study; and, WHEREAS, the U.S. Government through the Corps of Engineers has agreed to complete the feasibility study estimated to cost 400, 000. 00 with $170, 000. 00 being local cash and $30, 000. 00 being local in-kind services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: The study agreement between the United States of America and the City of Wichita Falls, Texas for the Plum Creek feasibility study is hereby approved with an estimated cost of $400, 000. 00 of which $200, 000. 00 is a responsibility of the local agency.
