RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID TO MERIT ENGINEERING
AND CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR PAINTING AND
GENERAL REPAIRS AT THE JASPER STREET WATER
TREATMENT PLANT AND PAINTING AT THE LAKE
ARROWHEAD PUMP STATION
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids
for painting and general repairs at the Jasper Street Water
Treatment Plant and painting at the Lake Arrowhead Pump Station,
such bids to be received on a lump sum basis; and,
WHEREAS, six bids were received and considered by the
Council .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The bid of Merit Engineering and Construction, Inc. of
Wichita Falls in a lump sum amount of $160,800. 00 is the lowest,
responsible bid and is hereby accepted. The City Manager is
authorized to enter a contract with the firm for the stated work.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 19TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1989.
