RESOLUTION TO REJECT BID FOR UTILITY LINE
ADJUSTMENTS FOR PHASE III OF THE HOLLIDAY
CREEK FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT ANT TO AUTHORIZE
REBID OF THE UTILITY ADJUSTMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City advertised for bids for the relocation of
a 54" raw water line and two 12" treated water lines in
preparation for Phase III of the Holliday Creek Flood Control
Project, such project estimated by the engineer to cost
280, 000. 00;
WHEREAS, the City received one bid from Rhode Construction
Co. , Lubbock, Texas in the amount of $582,860. 00; and,
WHEREAS, Council believes this job should be reconfigured
and rebid in order to confirm through additional competitive
bidding the cost of this job.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The bid of Rhode Construction Co. in the amount of
582,860. 00 for utility line adjustments for Phase III of the
Holliday Creek Flood Control Project is hereby rejected. The
City Staff is authorized to reconfigure the Utility Adjustment
Project and rebid the project.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 19TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1989.
