WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with Opex,
Inc. for certain utility work at the East Boundary of the Country
Club in anticipation of the Holliday Creek Flood Control Project;
WHEREAS, the original contract price was $237,950. 00 and has
been increased by two change orders to a total of $264, 303 . 00;
WHEREAS, the City previously has paid the contractor an
amount of $259, 016,94, leaving an amount due of $5,286.06; and,
WHEREAS, the staff has inspected the work and found it
acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The project to relocate certain sewer facilities and do
additional construction work in the vicinity of Wichita Falls
Country Club East Boundary in anticipation of the Holliday Creek
Flood Control project is hereby accepted and the City Manager is
authorized to make a final payment of $5, 286. 06 to the
contractor.
