RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT PROJECT TO CONSTRUCT A 5
MG CONCRETE STORAGE TANK AT THE CYPRESS WATER
TREATMENT PLANT AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY
MANAGER TO MAKE A FINAL PAYMENT TO THE
CONTRACTOR
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with
Preload Technology, Inc. for the construction of a 5 MG concrete
storage tank at the Cypress Street Water Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, the original contract was for $998,916. 00 and one
change order in the amount of $20, 000. 00 has been approved,
bringing the total contract cost to $1, 018,916. 00;
WHEREAS, the City has previously paid the Contractor
998,537. 68, leaving an amount due of $20,378. 32 ; and,
WHEREAS, the City staff has inspected the work and found it
acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: The project to construct a 5
MG concrete storage tank at Cypress Street Water Treatment Plant
is hereby accepted as complete and the City Manager is authorized
to make a final payment to Preload Technology, Inc. in the amount
of $20, 378. 32 .
