RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO
CONTRACT WITH H. P. HODGE, JR. , UNTIL NEW
CITY ATTORNEY IS APPOINTED AND QUALIFIED.
WHEREAS, H. P. Hodge, Jr. ' s retirement as City Attorney was
effective July 31, 1989, and a successor has not yet been
appointed; and,
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that situations may arise when
there may be a need for legal services to be performed for the
City by Mr. Hodge, and it is desired to authorize the City
Manager to contract for such services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Until such time as a City Attorney is appointed by the City
Council, and such City Attorney qualifies and commences serving
in such capacity, the City Manager is authorized to contract with
H. P. Hodge, Jr. , to perform specific legal services for the
City, whenever the City Manager deems such services necessary.
For performing such legal services, Mr. Hodge shall be paid at
the rate of $216.72 per day.
