RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CONTRACT WITH
ENGINEERING CONSULTING FIRM FOR PRELIMINARY
ENGINEERING REPORT ON NORTH DRAINAGE BASIN
SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to assess the
sanitary sewer system in the North Drainage Basin of the City to
determine current and future constraints, and to identify and
phase the improvements necessary for the basin;
WHEREAS, the Council seeks to engage an engineering firm to
conduct such a study and the firm of Biggs & Mathews, Inc. of
Wichita Falls, Texas is known from previous similar work to have
the necessary expertise to conduct such a study; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered a proposed contract
for the purpose stated with the firm of Biggs & Mathews, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The contract between the City of Wichita Falls and Biggs &
Mathews, Inc. whereby the engineering firm will prepare a
Preliminary Engineering Report as described in the contract is
hereby approved, and the City Manager is authorized to execute
the contract at a fee of $21,400.00.
