RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER FOR
SOUTHWEST DRAINAGE BASIN 24" SANITARY SEWER
TRUNK MAIN PROJECT, ACCEPT THE PROJECT AS
COMPLETE AND AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT TO
CONTRACTOR
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with
Regional Utilities, Inc. for the installation of a 24" Sanitary
Sewer Trunk Main in the Southwest Drainage Basin, said contract
having an estimated cost of $300,350. 00;
WHEREAS, additional quantities of dry boring and steel
casing increased the estimated cost by $16,800. 00;
WHEREAS, Council has considered a change order for 1545
square feet of pavement repair necessitated by the trench
conditions in Langford and Cypress Streets, said additional
pavement repair costing $12 , 035.55;
WHEREAS, the new contract price with the additional
quantities and change order incorporated is $329, 185. 55;
WHEREAS, the City has previously made payments in the amount
of $310.807. 00 to the contractor, leaving an amount due of
18, 378. 55; and,
WHEREAS, the staff has inspected the work and found it
acceptable and has recommended that Council accept the project as
complete.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The project to install a 24" Sanitary Sewer Trunk Main in
the Southwest Drainage Basin is hereby accepted and the change
order for payment repair is approved in the amount of $12 , 035.55.
The City Manager is authorized to make a final payment of
18, 378.55 to the Contractor.
