ORDINANCE AMENDING PORTIONS OF CHAPTERS 14-21 (C) ,
14-23 (A) , AND 14-23 (D) OF THE ELECTRICAL CODE OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TO CHANGE THE FEES IN
TESTING FOR JOURNEYMAN AND MASTER ELECTRICIANS
LICENSES IN WICHITA FALLS .
WHEREAS, the Board of Electrical Examiners met July 12, 1984 ,
and at this meeting a motion was made that the testing system
provided by Block and Associates be used as the testing system
for Journeyman and Master Electricians Licenses in Wichita Falls;
and,
WHEREAS, the cost of testing for such Journeyman and Master
Electricians Licenses exceeds the costs charged to persons taking
these tests; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend portions of Chapters 14-21 (C) ,
14-23 (A) , and 14-23 (D) of the Electrical Code, in order to adjust
the examination fees to match the cost of providing the test.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS, THAT:
The last sentence of the second paragraph in Chapter 14-21 (C)
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"The fee of thirty dollars ($30 .00) shall be required for
each examination. "
The last sentence of the first paragraph in Chapter 14-23 (A)
is hereby amended to read as follows :
"The application shall be presented to the secretary of the
Board and shall be accompanied by a fee of thirty dollars ($30 . 00) . "
The last sentence of the second paragraph in Chapter 14-23 (D)
is hereby amended to read as follows :
"The fee of thirty dollars ($30 . 00) will be required for each
examination. "
Due to the fact that the City of Wichita Falls loses money
each time a test is given for Journeyman and Master Electricians
Licenses, this ordinance is declared an emergency and will become
effective immediately upon its passage.
