ORDINANCE NO. //J-/4/
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF
A UTILITY EASEMENT IN BLOCK 155, ORIGINAL TOWNSITE, WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Wichita Falls has recommended
that a portion of a utility easement in Block 155, Original Townsite be closed; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems it
advisable and in the public interest to close the portion of the utility easement
hereafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS,
THAT:
SECTION 1. The utility easement retained by Ordinance 148-83, save
and except the North 140 feet and the South 110 feet, is hereby closed, vacated,
and abandoned.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective upon the installation
of a new man-hole by the owner as required by the Utilities Department, and the
owner being responsible for future maintenance of the sewer line within the
closed portion of the easement.
