RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENTS TO
PARTICIPATE IN THE NORTH TEXAS
REGIONAL DRUG ENFORCEMENT TASK FORCE
Whereas, the City of Wichita Falls has applied for a
grant to coordinate a drug enforcement task force for the
purpose of combatting drug trafficking in the North Texas
region, and
Whereas, said grant has been approved by the Criminal
Justice Division, Governor's Office, to provide federal
funding for this project, and
Whereas, law enforcement agencies at the municipal and
county level from throughout the North Texas region desire
to participate in this enforcement project and enter into
mutual aid agreements to facilitate this endeavor,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Mayor of the City of Wichita Falls is hereby
authorized to enter into agreement with those entities
desiring participation and to sign such agreement with
Wichita County, Montague County, Wilbarger County, Foard
County, Throckmorton County, Jack County, Baylor County,
City of Vernon, City of Henrietta, City of Electra, City of
Burkburnett, City of Iowa Park, City of Quanah.
