RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE RETURNS OF THE
MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, ON MAY 5, 1990, FOR
MAYOR, COUNCILMAN FOR DISTRICT 3, COUNCILMAN
FOR DISTRICT 4 AND COUNCILMAN FOR DISTRICT 5,
AND ON PROPOSITION OF AN ADDITIONAL 1/2 OF 1%
SALES AND USE TAX.
WHEREAS, at a special meeting of the City Council of the
City of Wichita Falls, Texas, held in the Memorial Auditorium
building on the 8th day of May, 1990, at which time a quorum was
present, there came on to be considered the returns of the
municipal election held on the 5th day of May, 1990; and,
WHEREAS, after canvassing the returns of said election, it
was found to be duly and legally held in all respects, and that
Sreiv.3 voters voted in said election, and that votes were cast
as follows:
FOR MAYOR:
Michael Lam received g23'$ votes.
Ron Buffum received votes.
Claude Greer received votes.
Giola E. Ozuna received /41j votes.

FOR COUNCILMAN, DISTRICT 3 :
Paul Hughes received /f/)( votes.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Said election was in all respects legally held in accordance
with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter and the
ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls; that Michael Lam was
duly and legally elected Mayor; Paul Hughes was duly and legally
elected Councilman, District 3; J. W. Martin was duly and legally
elected Councilman, District 4; Don Kirkham was duly and legally
elected Councilman, District 5; Proposition No. 1 was not
approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 8th day of May, 1990.
