A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE APPEAL FOR A
RECYCLING CENTER AT 4905 SOUTHWEST PARKWAY, WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS
WHEREAS, a conditional use application for a recycling center
at 4905 Southwest Parkway has been disapproved by the Planning &
Zoning Commission; and,
WHEREAS, the applicant has agreed to take some mitigating
steps to address the unsightliness, noise, and smell problems;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council deems that approving the appeal
hereunder described is in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS THAT:
The decision of the Planning & Zoning Commission with respect
to the conditional use application No. C-90-05 for a recycling
center at 4905 Southwest Parkway, Wichita Falls, Texas is hereby
overruled, and the appeal is hereby granted subject to the follow-
ing conditions:
1. All outdoor items, i.e. dumpsters, cans, bins, trailers,
etc. should be fully enclosed within a 6 ft. wooden privacy fence
to shield them from view from all sides. Only the office building
may remain outside of the fence.
2 . Crushing and mechanical separation operations shall not
be performed at this site. Cans must be transported to a proces-
sing center for crushing and mechanical separation.
3 . Landscaping must be placed along Southwest Parkway and
Brookdale as required by the Zoning Ordinance.
