Res 073-90 4/17/1990RESOLUTION NO. 71-C RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF A PARCEL OF CITY-OWNED RIGHT-OF-WAY TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION FOR THE FM 2380 BRIDGE PROJECT. WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has executed a contract with the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation for the design of the FM 2380 Holliday Creek Bridge Project; and, WHEREAS, the City is responsible for providing the necessary right-of-way in accordance with the plans prepared by the State. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: The City Manager, James Berzina, is hereby authorized to execute a deed to the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation for the following described real property owned by the City of Wichita Falls, which is required for the FM 2380 Holliday Creek Bridge Project: Being 0. 225 acres of land, more or less, out of and a part of a 1.838 acre tract in the John A. Scott Survey No. 7, Abstract No. 295, and the John A. Scott Survey No. 6, Abstract No. 301, in Wichita County, Texas; said 0. 225 acre tract being in Wichita County, Texas; said 1. 838 acre tract being the same land described in a deed from Jack C. Wessler to the City of Wichita Falls, a Texas municipality, dated May 22, 1968, recorded in Volume 1045, Page 574, Deed Records of Wichita County, Texas; said 0. 225 acre of land, more or less, being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: COMMENCING at the Southwest corner of the John A. Scott Survey No. 7, Abstract No. 295, thence North 81° 32 ' 22" East, 813 .70 feet to a point, said point being on a curve to the right having a radius of 3,014. 93 feet, said point being the Place of Beginning; THENCE Northwesterly along said curve to the right, the chord of which bears North 33° 04 ' 28" West and is 124. 29 feet in length, an arc distance of 124. 30 feet to a point; THENCE South 48° 57 ' East a distance of 345. 88 feet to a point; THENCE South 41° 03 ' West a distance of 34.00 feet to a point; THENCE North 48° 57 ' West a distance of 226. 33 feet to the Place of Beginning.
