RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING POLICE
DEPARTMENT TO MAKE GRANT APPLICATION
FOR ADMINISTRATIVE NARCOTICS OFFICER
WHEREAS, funds are available for the creation of
special law enforcement units through the Nortex Regional
Planning Commission and Criminal Justice Division, and
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Police Department request
funding for a full-time Administrative Narcotics Officer,
and
WHEREAS, such an officer would provide another vital
element in the drug enforcement effort,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant
for an Administrative Narcotics Officer in the amount of
34, 317, and the City Manager is authorized to sign the
grant application.
