RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION OF
POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR REGIONAL
DRUG ENFORCEMENT OFFICER GRANT
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Police Department has made
application for grant funds to form a Regional Drug
Enforcement Task Force, and
WHEREAS, costs for personnel supplied through grants
administered by the Regional Councils of Government may be
used to reduce the matching cash requirement of Task Force
grants, and
WHEREAS, funds are available through the Nortex
Regional Planning Commission for such a grant,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Approval is granted for submission of a grant request
for funding of a Drug Enforcement Officer in the amount of
34,317, and authorizing the City Manager to sign the grant
application.
