RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING POLICE DEPARTMENT
TO SUBMIT GRANT PROPOSAL TO THE
CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION FOR
CONTINUATION OF THE NARCOTICS INFORMATION
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Police Department currently operates a
computerized data base project partially funded by the Criminal
Justice Division of the Governor's Office, and
WHEREAS, this project receives and disseminates information
pertaining to persons, vehicles, and premises involved in drug
trafficking to law enforcement agencies on a regional basis,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Police Department is authorized to submit a grant
application for third year funding in the amount of $13, 385, of
which the Criminal Justice Division will provide $8, 031 and the
City of Wichita Falls will provide $5, 354 , and authorizing the
City Manager to sign the grant application.
