RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE FOR A FIRE MANAGEMENT
INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to purchase
a Fire Management System (FMIS) for the Fire Department ; and
WHEREAS, this fire management system would greatly
increase the efficiency of obtaining statistical information
and improve service delivery through the use of this data;
and
WHEREAS, a committee of City employees has studied many
options to obtain this system; and
WHEREAS, Request for Proposals have been received and
reviewed by this committee for the purchase of computer
hardware; and
WHEREAS, the software has been determined to be sole
source from Command Data Systems because of the
compatibility with existing software in use by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to purchase the
necessary hardware and software for the Fire Management
Information System.
