RESOLUTION TO GRANT EASEMENT TO SHEPPARD AIR
FORCE BASE FOR INSTALLATION OF SEWER PIPE
LINE TO CONNECT TO THE NORTHSIDE WASTEWATER
TREATMENT PLANT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with
Sheppard Air Force Base whereby the City will begin treating
sewage from the Base at the Northside Wastewater Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, Sheppard Air Force Base must construct a sewer pipe
line from the Base to the Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, the pipe line will pass across City-owned property,
said property having been provided to the City by the Federal
Government for the construction of the Northside Wastewater
Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, a provision of the grant of the property by the
Federal Government is that the Federal Government must authorize
any easement across the property provided to another party;
WHEREAS, the Federal Government is now ready to provide the
appropriate authority to the City for the granting of an easement
for the construction of the pipe line; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined a proposed easement for
the sewer pipe line.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:

The said easement for construction of a sewer pipe line by
Sheppard Air Force Base is hereby approved. When the City has
received the appropriate authority from the Federal Government,
the City Manager is authorized to sign the easement.
