RESOLUTION TO REJECT BIDS FOR COMPUTER
CONTROL SYSTEM AT RIVER ROAD WASTEWATER
TREATMENT PLANT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids
for installation of a computer control system at the River Road
Wastewater Treatment plant;
WHEREAS, the City received four bids and the lowest bid was
one that qualified the specifications in the contract; and,
WHEREAS, research after the bid has found that we need to
change the specifications to assure maintenance reliability in
the future and to seek savings that can accrue by the change.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The bids received on May 17, 1990 for the computer control
system at the River Road Wastewater Treatment Plant are hereby
rejected. The staff is authorized to amend the specifications
and rebid the project.
