RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF WINTER
FLOWERS TO PLANTLAND INDUSTRIES, INC. AND SMITH'S
GARDENTOWN, INC.
WHEREAS, bids for the winter flowers to be planted in
City medians and parks were opened 14 June 1990; and,
WHEREAS, the low bid of $850. for 2,000 dianthus plants
was submitted by Smith 's Gardentown, Inc. and the low bid of
18,232. for 43,000 pansies was submitted by Plantland Ind-
ustries, Inc. ; and,
WHEREAS, both vendors produce plants within the quality
guidelines of the bid specifications; and,
WHEREAS, both bids are a good price and within the
budget proposed for FY90-91 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The low bid of $850. for 2,000 dianthus plants
submitted by Smith 's Gardentown, Inc. and the low bid of
18,232. for 43,000 pansy plants submitted by Plantland
Industries, Inc. are hereby accepted.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 3rd day of July 1990.
