RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF TREES IN
PARKS AND MEDIANS.
WHEREAS, bids for the replacement of trees that have
died were properly advertised and opened 9 November 1990;
and,
WHEREAS, the low bid for each specie meets all bid
requirements; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed the bids for five species of
trees are excessive and are recommended to be rejected;
providing the quantities will be made up by increasing the
quantities in three other species of trees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
James Andertan be awarded a contract in the amount of
19,575. for the planting of 255 trees; Wichita Valley be
awarded a contract in the amount of $5,085. for the planting
of 83 trees; and Glenn Payton be awarded a contract in the
amount of $942.50 for the planting of 13 trees.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 20th day of November 1990.
