RESOLUTION CREATING A COMMUNITY
RELATIONS COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the importance of
promoting the positive image of the City and the City's
relationships with Sheppard Air Force Base and area industry;
and,
WHEREAS, one of the goals of the City Council's Retreat was
the creation of a citizens' committee with responsibility for
promoting Wichita Falls and evaluation of relationships with
military, industry and other traditional relationships.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby established a Community Relations Committee,
which shall consist of five members. Committee members shall be
appointed by the City Council, and shall be residents of
Wichita Falls. The City Council shall appoint one of the members
as chairman. The committee will meet at the call of the
chairman.
The committee shall evaluate and make recommendations to the
City Council regarding:
1. Promotion of Wichita Falls.
2 . The City's relationships with the military and
industry.
