RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER #1 TO
CONTRACT FOR MODIFICATIONS AND ADDITIONS TO
RIVER ROAD WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT
WHEREAS, the City has a contract with the construction firm
of Craig, Sheffield and Austin, Inc. of Grand Prairie, Texas for
the construction of certain modifications and additions to the
River Road Waste Treatment Plant, said contract being in the
amount of $19,572, 000;
WHEREAS, the City desires to make certain modifications to
the work specified in the contract documents, and the desired
changes are outlined in Change Order #1 to the contract; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has examined the proposed change
order which has been recommended for approval by the design
engineers and by the Public Works staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Change Order #1 is hereby approved with a total deduction of
200, 000, changing the amount of the original contract from
19,572, 000 to $19, 372, 000. The City Manager is authorized to
execute the change order for the City.
