RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF
AN APPLICATION TO THE U. S. DEPARTMENT OF
EDUCATION FOR A LIBRARY SERVICES AND
CONSTRUCTION ACT TITLE VI GRANT FOR A
LIBRARY LITERACY PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls
desires to cooperate with the Wichita Falls Independent School
District and Wichita Adult Literacy Council to promote literacy
of non-reading parents in the Washington Elementary School
community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to file an application on
behalf of the City with the U. S. Department of Education for a
Library Services and Construction Act Title VI Grant for a
Library Literacy Program in the amount of $34, 338.
