Res 176-90 10/16/1990RESOLUTION NO. /76r—, RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT 89/90 BUDGET UTILITIES IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT AS COMPLETE AND AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE FINAL PAYMENT TO THE CONTRACTOR. WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with Utility Contractors of America, Inc. for certain utility improvements in the 1989/90 Budget Utilities Improvements Project; and, WHEREAS, the original estimated contract price of 479, 396. 10 was increased by approved change orders in the amount of $2 ,705. 00 to a new estimated total of $482, 101. 10; and, WHEREAS, the actual amount of work performed was $486,214. 30 and the city has previously paid the contractor an amount of 431,229. 07, leaving an amount due to the contractor of 54,985.23 ; and, WHEREAS, the city staff has inspected the project, found it complete and recommended the Council accept the project and authorize final payment to the contractor. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: The 1989/90 Budget Utilities Improvements Project is hereby accepted as complete and the City Manager is authorized to make a final payment of $54,985. 23 to the contractor.
