RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT PROJECT TO PAINT
ELEVATED AND GROUND WATER STORAGE TANKS AND
TO AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE FINAL
PAYMENT TO CONTRACTOR
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with Rhode
Pipe Company dba Corrosion Eliminators, Inc. for the painting or
certain elevated and ground water storage tanks and selected
other facilities;
WHEREAS, the original contract price of $200, 380. 00 was
increased by one approved change order of $13, 650. 00 to a final
contract price of $214, 030. 00;
WHEREAS, the City has previously paid the contractor
176,886.90, leaving an amount due of $37, 143. 10; and,
WHEREAS, the project has been inspected and found
acceptable, and the staff has recommended the Council accept the
project as complete and authorize the City Manager to make a
final payment to the contractor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The project to paint elevated and ground water storage tanks
and certain other facilities is hereby accepted as complete and
the City Manager is authorized to make a final payment of
37, 143 . 10 to the contractor
