RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY AND THE LAW FIRM OF
HAYNES AND BOONE TO APPEAL THE FEDERAL DISTRICT COURT'S
JUDGMENT IN A SUIT STYLED ROBERT R. YORK, ET AL, VS.
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, CAUSE NO. CA-7-87-0020, TO THE
U.S. FIFTH CIRCUIT COURT OF APPEALS IN NEW ORLEANS,
LOUISIANA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Attorney and the law firm of Haynes and
Boone be and are hereby authorized to appeal the judgment
rendered in Robert R. York, et al, vs. City of Wichita Falls,
from the United States District Court for the Northern District
of Texas to the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New
Orleans, Louisiana.
SECTION 2. Any and all appeal notices previously filed on
behalf of the City in the above styled and numbered cause are
hereby affirmed and ratified.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined
that the meeting at which this resolution is passed is open to
the public as required by law and that public notice of the time,
place, and purpose of said meeting was given as required.
