Res 168-90 10/2/1990RESOLUTION NO. /64-- & RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE OF EXCESS CITY PROPERTY AT 302 LIVE OAK AND IN THE 1500 BLOCK OF IOWA PARK ROAD WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls owns a 0. 167 acre tract of land located at the Southwest corner of the Iowa Park Highway and the Old Iowa Park Road, and a 2,373 square foot tract out of Lot 1, Block 7, Lakewood Place, also known as 302 Live Oak, and the City has no further usage of such property; and, WHEREAS, these tracts of land are too small and irregular in shape to be used independently and the City desires to sell this property in order to relieve the burden of maintenance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: As authorized by Chapter 272 of the Local Government Code, the City of Wichita Falls shall sell the following described excess property located in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas: Parcel A A 0. 167 acre tract out of the John A. Scott Survey No. 17, Abstract 298, located at the Southwest corner of the Iowa Park Highway and the Old Iowa Park Road, is to be sold to Trans Chemical Distribution Company for the fair market value of 700.00. Parcel B The 2, 373 square foot tract remainder of Lot 1, Block 7, Lakewood Place, also known as 302 Live Oak, is to be sold to Henry L. Hill for the fair market value of $100.00. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the deeds conveying these properties on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 2nd day of v October ','0.
