AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING TWO ALLEYS IN
PROPOSED LOT 1, BLOCK 1, TESCO T&D CENTER ADDITION, WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Planning Board has recommended that two alleys in the
proposed Lot 1, Block 1, Tesco T&D Center Addition described as a 10 foot wide
alley adjacent to Lots 1-7, Block 42, J.A. Kemp's Addition and a 15 foot wide
alley in Block 10, South Park Addition be closed subject to retention of utility
easements; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, deems
it advisable and in the public interest to close, vacate, and abandon the two
alleys hereafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL- OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Two alleys, one located adjacent to the south line of Lots
1-7, Blk 42, J.A. Kemp's Addition, and the other in Block 10 of the South Park
Addition, both in Wichita Falls, Texas, said alleys being specifically described
by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of Lot I, Block 42, J.A. Kemp's Addition to the City
of Wichita Falls, Texas, according to the plat recorded in Volume 4, Page 20, Wichita County
Plat Records, for the Northwest corner of this tract;
THENCE S 89° 26' 02" E with the South line of Lots 1-7 of said Block 42 and the North line
of a 10 foot wide alley, 370.84 feet to a point for the Southeast corner of Lot 7, Block 42,
said point being in the West line of Mississippi Avenue, for the Northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE S 00° 48' 32" W with the West line of Mississippi Avenue, 10.0 feet to a point in
the South line of Chester Avenue, for the Southeast corner of this tract;
THENCE N 89° 26' 02" W with the South line of a 10 foot wide alley, 370.84 feet to a point,
for the Southwest corner of this tract;
THENCE N 00° 48' 32" E 10.0 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 3708 square
feet of land ;
and,

BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of Lot 5, Block 10, South Park Addition to the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas according to the plat recorded in Volume 5, Page 70, Wichita County
Plat Records, for the Northwest corner of this tract;
THENCE N 84° 54' 44" E with the South line of said Lot 5 and the North line of a 15 foot
wide alley, 50.0 feet to a fence corner, for the Northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE S 00° 08' 51" W with a fence, 15.0 feet to a point in the South line of alley, for the
Southeast corner of this tract;
THENCE S 84° 54' 44" W with South line of alley and the North line of Lot 6 of said Block
10, a distance of 50.0 feet to the Northwest ocrner of Lot 6, for the Southwest corner of this
tract;
THENCE N 00° 08' 51" E 15.0 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 750 square
feet of land.

SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls hereby reserves on the entire area
described in Section 1, a utility easement for the purpose of laying and maintaining
all kind and character of utility lines including water, gas, electric, telephone,
television cables, power lines, and sanitary and storm sewers.
