RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CONTRACT WITH
ENGINEERING CONSULTING FIRM FOR PRELIMINARY
ENGINEERING REPORT ON NORTHSIDE WASTEWATER
TREATMENT PLANT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls operates the Northside
Wastewater Treatment Plant under Texas Water Commission Discharge
Permit No. 10509-005;
WHEREAS, the discharge permit was renewed recently by the
Texas Water Commission, and new, stricter effluent limitations
were imposed effective September 1, 1994 ;
WHEREAS, the renewed permit requires the City to submit an
engineering report to the Texas Water Commission to show how the
Northside Plant will meet the permitted effluent limitations;
and,
WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed a proposed contract to
engage the engineering firm of Biggs and Mathews, Inc. of Wichita
Falls, Texas, for preparing the engineering report.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The proposed engineering services contract with the firm of
Biggs and Mathews, Inc. to conduct a preliminary engineering
study for revised effluent limitations at the Northside
Wastewater Treatment Plant is hereby approved at a maximum base
fee of $8, 500. The City Manager is authorized to execute the
contract for the City.
