RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE STATE OF TEXAS
COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, pursuant to the
authority granted by Section 271.081-271. 083 of the Local
Government Code, V.T.C.A. , as amended, desires to participate in
described purchasing programs of the State Purchasing and General
Services Commission, and in the opinion that participation in
these programs will be highly beneficial to the taxpayers through
anticipated savings to be realized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
That we request the State Purchasing and General Services
Commission to include its stated need on the Commission' s annual
contracts, whereby Peggy Gahagan, Purchasing Agent, is authorized
and directed to sign and deliver all necessary requests and other
documents in connection therewith for and on behalf of the City
of Wichita Falls, and we acknowledge obligation to pay
participation fees established by the Commission.
