RESOLUTION APPROVING CITY MANAGER'S SIGNATURE
ON AMENDMENT TO TEXAS WATER COMMISSION PERMIT
NO. 5152
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has previously obtained
Permit No. 5152 from the Texas Water Commission; and,
WHEREAS, the referenced permit is due to expire on November
2, 1991; and,
WHEREAS, the permit gives the City the right to withdraw and
discharge water from the Big Wichita River at the Waterfall site;
and,
WHEREAS, the permit permits the City to construct an
impoundment commonly known as the low water dam; and,
WHEREAS, funding is not available for construction of the
low water dam at this time; and,
WHEREAS, the referenced permit should be amended to include
only the withdrawal and discharge of water at the Waterfall site.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to sign an application
for an amendment to Permit No. 5152 which retains the right to
withdraw and discharge water from the Big Wichita for the
Waterfall site.
