RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DARE PROJECT GRANT
AWARD FROM THE TEXAS COMMISSION ON ALCOHOL
AND DRUG ABUSE
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has made application
to the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse for second
year funding of the D.A.R.E. Project, and
WHEREAS, approval for the second year of operation has
been given by the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse
in the amount of $42 ,980. 00, and
WHEREAS, the D.A.R.E. Project has proven to be a
successful tool in the education of youth against the
illegal use of drugs,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept this grant
award in the amount of $42 ,980. 00.
