RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
PURCHASE A DEC VAX/VMS COMPUTER SYSTEM TO
UPGRADE THE DEC MICROVAX II, LOCATED IN THE
EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS CENTER.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls requested proposals from
five companies for a DEC computer system to upgrade the City' s
DEC Microvax II computer; and,
WHEREAS, proposals from four companies were received; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has examined the proposals
received and determined the lowest responsible bidder to be US
West in the amount of $72,682. 34.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The proposal for a DEC VAX/VMS Computer System to upgrade
the City' s DEC Microvax II computer in the Emergency
Communications Center is awarded to US West, and the City Manager
is authorized to purchase same.
