RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PURCHASE OF
REPLACEMENT SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND DATA
ACQUISITION (SCADA) SYSTEM FROM EMD, INC. OF
WICHITA FALLS
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls requested proposals from
qualified companies for a Supervisory Control and Data
Acquisition system for installation at the Water Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, four companies were accepted to submit proposals
and two valid proposals were received;
WHEREAS, the staff has evaluated the proposals and
recommended that Council purchase a system from EMD, Inc. of
Wichita Falls and,
WHEREAS, the staff has also recommended alternatives to the
project specifications, reducing the EMD proposal price from
85,450 to $74,950.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The proposal of EMD, Inc. of Wichita Falls to provide a
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system at a net cost of
74,950 is hereby accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to
purchase the system.
