RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF WINTER
FLOWERS FOR PARKS AND MEDIANS TO SMITH'S GARDENTOWN AND
PLANTLAND INDUSTRIES.
WHEREAS, six bids were received on July 12, 1991 for
the purchase of winter flowers for parks and medians; and,
WHEREAS, the low bid for 2 ,000 dianthus flowers was
from Smith's Gardentown in the amount of $800.00 and low bid
for 23,000 pansy flowers was from Plantland Industries,
Lilian, Texas in the amount of $17 ,157.00; and,
WHEREAS, both vendors have performed satisfactorily.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Contracts are hereby awarded to Smith's Gardentown for
2,000 dianthus flowers for $800.00 and to Plantland Ind-
ustries for 23,000 pansy flowers for $17,157.00.
