RESOLUTION DECLARING PROPERTY AT 1600
CONKLING DRIVE AS EXCESS AND APPROVING SALE
OF CITY' S INTEREST IN SAID PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, Wichita County, and the
Wichita Falls Independent School District own a 1/3 interest in
the vacant lot at 1600 Conkling Drive, and the City has no use
for this tract; and,
WHEREAS, since the taxing entities named above do not own
full interest in the property it cannot be sold by sealed bids;
and,
WHEREAS, in accordance with the law, this 1/3 interest can
be sold outright at fair market value as determined by an
independent appraiser.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
As authorized by Chapter 272 of the Local Government Code,
the City of Wichita Falls shall sell its interest in the
following described excess property located in Wichita Falls,
Wichita County, Texas:
Lot 1A, a replat of Lots 1 and 2, Block 1,
Pecan Acres Addition, a/k/a 1600 Conkling
Drive.
The above-described property is to be conveyed by special
warranty deed to Mr. Bobby J. Saunders, who owns the remaining
2/3 interest in the tract for the fair market value of $257. 00
plus all outstanding delinquent taxes in the amount of $1,722. 23,
and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the deed on behalf
of the City of Wichita Falls.
