RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
AGREEMENTS WITH THE TEXAS URBAN FORESTRY COUNCIL FOR
MATCHING TREE GRANT .
WHEREAS , The U .S . Small Business Administration ,
through the Texas Urban Forestry Council , invites appli-
cations for matching grants for trees that will benefit
small tree and landscape businesses; and ,
WHEREAS , the City desires the continued beautification
through the planting of trees; and ,
WHEREAS , sufficient funds ( $3 ,000 . ) is available for
the local matching share.
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS , THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
agreements with the Texas Urban Forestry Council regarding
the matching tree grant; that sufficient funds are avail-
able for the local matching share , and that the trees will
be planted and maintained in a City park . •
