RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH
THE STATE OF TEXAS, THEREBY ENABLING THE
WICHITA FALLS POLICE DEPARTMENT TO
PARTICIPATE IN "OPERATION BUCKLE DOWN, "
SELECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM (S.T.E.P. )
WHEREAS, the State of Texas, acting by and through the State
Department of Highways and Public Transportation has requested
that the Wichita Falls Police Department participate in
Operation Buckle Down" during months of June 15, 1991 through
September 30, 1991; and
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Police Department and the City of
Wichita Falls has agreed to participate in said program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to negotiate and enter into
said contract with the State of Texas for "Operation Buckle
Down. "
