RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF
WICHITA FALLS, THE NORTH TEXAS HOME BUILDERS
ASSOCIATION, AND ROTARY CLUB NORTH OF WICHITA FALLS
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A FIRE SAFETY HOUSE.
WHEREAS, it is the cooperative desire of the Junior
League, the North Texas Home Builders Association, Rotary
Club North and the Wichita Falls Fire Department to
construct and use a Fire Safety House for the benefit of the
children of our City and the Wichita Falls area, and
WHEREAS, this Fire Safety House will provide a hands—
on learning experience for school children that could save
their lives in the event of a fire, and
WHEREAS, City funds will not be used for the con-
struction of this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The proposed contract between the Junior League, the
North Texas Home Builders, the Rotary Club North, and the
Wichita Falls Fire Department is hereby approved.
