RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENTS TO
PARTICIPATE IN THE NORTH TEXAS REGIONAL DRUG
ENFORCEMENT TASK FORCE.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has applied for a grant
to coordinate a drug enforcement task force for the purpose of
combating drug trafficking in the North Texas region; and,
WHEREAS, said grant has been approved by the Criminal
Justice Division, Governor' s Office, to provide federal funding
for this project; and,
WHEREAS, law enforcement agencies at the municipal and
county levels from throughout the North Texas region desire to
participate in this enforcement project and enter into mutual aid
agreements to facilitate this endeavor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Mayor of the City of Wichita Falls is hereby authorized
to enter into and sign agreements with those entities desiring
participation in the task force program.
