RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION OF
POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR
NARCOTIC OFFICER/1 GRANT
SECOND YEAR FUNDING)
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Police Department has made
application for grant funds for the second year of the North
Texas Regional Drug Enforcement Task Force, and
WHEREAS, costs for personnel supplied through grants
administered by the Regional Councils of Government may be
used to reduce the matching cash requirements of Task Force
grants, and
WHEREAS, funds are available through the Nortex
Regional Planning Commission for such a grant on a 80% STATE
and 20% CITY funding ratio,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Approval is granted for submission of a grant request
for the second year funding of a Narcotics Officer/1 in the
amount of $35, 983 . 00 of which $28, 786. 00 will be STATE
funding and $7197 . 00 will be City funding, and authorizing
the City Manager to sign the grant application.
