RESOLUTION TO APPROVE RAW WATER PURCHASE
CONTRACT WITH MR. ART WILLIAMS FOR
AGRICULTURAL IRRIGATION PURPOSES
WHEREAS, Mr. Art Williams of Star Route, Box 52, Holliday,
Texas 76366 desires to use untreated water from Lake Wichita to
irrigate approximately 100 acres of agricultural land on the
south shore of Lake Wichita;
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is owner of the land
where Lake Wichita is located;
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has the right to enter a
Raw Water Purchase Contract to allow Mr. Art Williams to have
access to the waters of Lake Wichita; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has examined a proposed standard
Raw Water Purchase Contract to provide water to Mr. Williams.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Raw Water Purchase Contract with Mr. Art Williams for
the purchase of 500, 000 gallons per day of untreated water from
Lake Wichita is hereby approved and the City Manager is
authorized to execute the contract for the City of Wichita Falls.
