RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING POLICE DEPARTMENT
TO MARE GRANT APPLICATION TO TEXAS
COMMISSION ON ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE
FOR D.A.R.E. PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and the Wichita
Falls Police Department are vitally interested in providing
Drug Abuse Resistance Education in the public schools, and
WHEREAS, the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse
has indicated to the Police Department that funding is
available for the creation of D.A.R.E. programs, and
WHEREAS, funds for such program in the amount of
45,243, would be 95% funded by the T.C.A.D.A. ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Police Department and City Manager are hereby
authorized to submit a grant request for the establishment
of a D.A.R.E. program in Wichita Falls.
