ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-175 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES TO INCREASE THE NUMBER
OF MEMBERS OF THE YOUTH ACTIVITIES ADVISORY
COUNCIL FROM TEN TO TWELVE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 2-175 of the Code of Ordinances (as contained in
Ordinance No. 140-83 ) is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 2-175. Composition; Term of Members.
The members of the Youth Activities Advisory Council shall
be approved by the City Council. The Youth Activities Advisory
Council shall be composed of twelve members, each of whom shall
be a resident of Wichita Falls and a student at a high school
within the City, and who shall serve without pay. Such membership
shall be for a period of one ( 1) year. All terms will begin
on June 1 and will end on May 31 of the following year. All
vacancies shall be filled by appointment by the City Council
and shall be for the remainder of the term of the vacating member.
Any member of the Youth Activities Advisory Council may be
removed at any time by a five-seventh vote of the City Council
for good reason. "
