A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS ABANDONING A UTILITY EASEMENT IN SOUTH PARK
ADDITION AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
QUITCLAIM DEED TO CONVEY PROPERTY; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has received a request to
abandon a 50' x 130' utility easement which was retained when a
portion of Virginia Street was closed in 1967; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this utility easement
is no longer needed and can now be abandoned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. In consideration of the receipt of the sum of
384. 00, the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a quitclaim
deed to Lloyde E. and Patsy R. Golden, conveying a 50' x 130'
strip lying adjacent to Lot 10, Block 10, and Lot 7, Block 11, of
South Park Addition to the City of Wichita Falls.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined
that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to
the public as required by law.
