A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS AUTHORIZING SALE OF
EXCESS CITY PROPERTY; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls owns a 0. 14 acre tract
at the corner of Yale and Galveston Streets which remains from
the construction of Galveston; and,
WHEREAS, since the City has no further use for this
property, it now desires to sell this irregular tract to the
adjacent property owner in order to relieve the burden of
maintenance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. As authorized by Chapter 272 of the Local
Government Code, the City of Wichita Falls shall sell the
following described excess property located in Wichita Falls,
Wichita County, Texas:
A 0. 14 acre tract, being the remainder of Lots 28
and 29, Block 5, Sibley Taylor Addition.
This property is to be sold for the fair market value of
900. 00 to Barney Chavez and wife, Camdelaria Chavez, and the
Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the deed conveying the
property on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined
that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open
to the public as required by law.
